What has your (anyone's) experience been thus far?< ASHN screwed us good in Connecticut. They had the MD HealthPlan contract for about a year. They took 6+ months to pay, "lost" most claims and kept 100 percent of our utilization withholds. Their contract was not renewed by MDHP and we were then given over to the mutts at Landmark (lack of) Healthcare. ---------------- From: CaringDC@aol.com Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 01:04:14 EST Subject: [c] ASHN Just curious..anyone getting increased revenue from this CAM Scam? ---------------- Subject: Re: [c] ASHN From: "Michael D. Massey" Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 09:10:58 EST Are you kidding? Increased revenues from ASHN? THAT'S FUNNY!! Actually, we've recently uncovered a "sleeping arrangement" between UHC and ASHN, which evidently prompted them (UHC) to insinuate they were going to cut network fees by over 30%. As we've come to find out, their intention was to drive docs out of UHC and into ASHN (which has even lower reimbursement and more strict guidelines on what can/can't be paid for). To date, we've seen no reduction in fees for those who remained in the network with UHC. My advice currently is to run, not walk, from ASHN and advise them of your intent by registered mail with a stern request that your name be removed from any provider directory list ASAP. (There's a suspicion they're using inflated provider lists as a marketing tool when UHC sells both plans to employers) ~Mike -------------- From: Drdubin@aol.com Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 11:08:54 EST Subject: Re: [c] ASHN << Just curious..anyone getting increased revenue from this CAM Scam? >> Sure - the CEOs and upper managers, certainly NOT the participating docs. Like former top organization officials who met with other out of state officials at a river house retreat and discussed conflict of interest motions and believe there are too many chiroprators and only a few should get access the market share and gave speeches on outcome studies while they positioned themselves for income contracts and are stitting fat and pretty as patients don't get a choice and employers are saving $$. Give an F in English but don't spare us from the truth. Moses -----------------
