Takes anywhere from 2 to 4 office visits to see dramatic changes. A patient came into the office a month or so ago with what *appeared* to be full blown Bell's Palsy, but after getting up from the adjusting table he was visibly and significantly improved. After his next visit within a week, he got up from the table almost without any facial abnormality! He had stated upon the first visit that he lifted an appliance and felt some cervical symptoms (I really do not recall the specifics of what he felt as far as cervical pain or stiffness because I do not put much emphasis on that kind of thing.) Anyway it was dramatic because of the seemingly instant change in his facial muscles which appeared almost completely without motor control before the first adjustment and then appeared to improve by...I don't know, 40 or 50 percent! And again after the next visit he seemed better than 90 percent. This may not have any value other than to inspire a little more appreciation for the direct relationship of the nervous system to the spine and a little more awe for the body's ability to return to health when unsubluxated. Kevin Kramer, MD >> Sorry, Kevin and listers, I misunderstood the comment, thus my last post. While it is true that Bell's Palsy can clear up spontaneously, I have seen some cases of it clear up with Cranialsacral therapy after being diagnosed as chronic, and after having been present for 6 months, in one case. That case cleared up in two sessions, full nerve function restored. Bob Dubin, DC -------------------------- From: "Christophe Dean, D.C." Who among us takes the time to write up the cases. Perhaps we should but we are having too much fun taking care of people. Christophe **************************
