Some time ago, we had an MVA patient in our office (California) and her adjuster (CSAA) made a similar comment to her. He said "your chiropractor is no more a doctor than I am" The patient and the doctor made several phone calls to several layers of supervisors. These conversations contained certain keywords like practicing medicine without a license, slander, insurance commissioner and, my personal fav, Bad Faith. Not only was that claim paid in full, subsequent claims were never questioned, the adjuster who started this is no longer employed with this company and I have never had any problems with any claim filed with CSAA since.
