What is a forensic examiner?

One who is trained, qualified and certified to render expert opinion in a specific field of endeavor.

What is a chiropractor?

A Doctor of  Chiropractic (D.C.) is a physician who specializes in the care an maintenance of the human spine.  Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed throughout the United States and in many countries throughout the world, including Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Canada and more!

What is a subluxation?

A subluxation is a mis alignment of one bone in its relationship with another.  In chiropractic terms, this relates to the slippage of vertebrae out of alignment in the spinal column.  It is less than a dislocation, and can cause however, significant health problems.

How does a chiropractor find and correct subluxations?

The Doctor of Chiropractic is highly trained in the areas of diagnosis and treatment.  A chiropractor may perform physical examination, orthopedics and neurologic tests, motion palpation, x-rays. electromygraphy, thermography and in some cases order CAT and MRI scans.

The correction of the subluxation is generally by spinal manipulation or more commonly called adjustments.  These are very specific and gentle thrusts that are applied to the spine to correct the subluxation.  Other techniques have been investigated by the chiropractic profession and include, but are not limited to: low force techniques, reflex techniques, physical therapy, exercise and rehabilitation techniques and nutritional consultation.
