In an open study in praxi 50 patients who had been in a hormone treatment because of menopausal complaints, got the herbal remedy Remifemin® (a Cimicifuga racemosa aka black cohosh preparation) for 6 months.

28 patients could do without further hormone injections the whole time.

21 patients needed one injection during this time, and only 1 patient needed two injections.

Altogether the therapeutic result was evaluated by the gynecologist as very good in 21 patients, good in 20 patients and of minor effect in 9 patients.

Side effects were not registered under phytotherapy.
