Our largest complaint when seeing new patients is chronic pain. It has been years since they have felt their best. To this day, it still amazes me that people will go on for years and not try any approach other than medicine. We have the wholistic approach right at our fingertips! Use Chiropractic care!!

When I had hospital staff privileges we would have staff meetings weekly. Many times chronic pain syndromes were discussed and the treatment of choice within the medical community was to place the patient on pain meds and keep them on a maintenance dose for the rest of their life. This is what most patients are being subjected to from their family doctor. There is a lot of research in support of Chiropractic care.

As part of a comprehensive measurement program that evaluated chiropractic treatment for chronic back pain the RAND Corporation studied a group of patients under chiropractic care and compared it to those who were not. They found that the patients who used chiropractic maintenance care had less need to use nursing homes (95.7 percent versus 80.8 percent); had fewer hospitalizations over a 23 year period (73.9% versus 52.4%); Patients receiving chiropractic care were more likely to report a better health status; more likely to exercise vigorously; and more likely to be mobile in the community (69.6% versus 46.8%). Overall the chronic back problems became less of an issue in their lives, quality of life was noticeably different. The real question is how to get the word out!
